The ICD 10 Readiness Project Manager will support the ICD10 Readiness Initiative and report to the Director of HIM Innovation in the planning and oversight of our organization wide ICD 10 Readiness Plan. The candidate will have a proven track record of managing projects within an organization that delivers HIM solutions to healthcare organizations or a related field for 3+ years.
Responsibilities:
Leading cross-functional team members in the creation of project schedules for ICD 10 Readiness related to ICD 10 training, client contract changes, workforce planning and SGP planning.
Oversee the successful and timely delivery of the ICD10 Readiness Initiative through strategic planning, team organization, role and resource planning, task management, issue management, risk mitigation and formal project closure.
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Provide regular project status and tracking to key project stakeholders
Ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Facilitate a change in management within a project and motivate project participants to achieve a positive outcome.
Participate in the design and documentation of lifecycle improvement initiatives and ongoing process improvement efforts.
Lead medium to large project teams where project participants work from various locations.
Self motivated and enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
Requirements:
3+ years of project management experience delivering HIM related services and or technology
RHIA, RHIT or CCS preferred with a Bachelor’s Degree in Management, IS, HIS, or related field.
PMP certification preferred.
Proven track record overseeing projects.
Experience in people management, strategic planning, risk management, change management.
Proficient in MS Project, Sharepoint, PowerPoint, Excel.
Experience with MS Visual Studio Team
