Early Meiji (1860) Some-nishiki blue underglazed IMARI 7" round by 1.67" deep scalloped edge dish. Overglazed with other colors plus gold. Has everything in the picture - water, cliffs, trees, buildings, a boat, a fish, people, with clouds and trees of gold. Trimmed on top of the scalloped edge with a pencil thin line of gold. The dish is in perfect condition - no cracks, chips, crazing. There are a couple of almost imperceptible utensil marks (completely imperceptible to the camera) in the glaze. The back is void of signatures or marks. Price is firm.
